Welcome to True North Thought LLC. By enrolling in our Thinking for a Change (T4C) Facilitator’s Training, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. General Information

True North Thought LLC provides Thinking for a Change Facilitator’s Training to equip individuals with the skills needed to facilitate cognitive behavioral programs in various settings, including correctional facilities, addiction treatment programs, and community services.

These terms govern the use of our training services, website, and related materials.


2. Eligibility and Enrollment

2.1 Training Requirements

Enrollment in the Thinking for a Change Facilitator’s Training does not require a specific degree or certification. However, ideal participants should:

• Believe in the potential for personal change and rehabilitation.

• Be able to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism.

• Show consistency, fairness, and nonjudgmental engagement with program participants.

2.2 Registration and Payment

• The cost for individual registration is $750.00 per participant.

• Full payment is required to confirm your seat in the training.

• Enrollment is limited to 10 participants per session, and spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.


3. Training Details

3.1 Location and Schedule

Training is conducted in person at:

Oregon State Library, 250 Winter St. NE, Salem, OR 97301, Conference Room 102.

The training is a 5-day program with the following schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

3.2 Attendance and Participation

• Full attendance and active participation are required to receive a certificate of completion.

• Participants should expect to complete daily homework assignments to reinforce training concepts.


4. Payment, Cancelation, and Refund Policy

4.1 Payments

• Payment must be received in full before your registration is confirmed.

• Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit Card, ACH Transfer, and Invoice Payment.

4.2 Cancelation & Refunds

• Cancelations made 10 days before training start: Eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee.

• Cancelations made less than 10 days before training start: Participants may reschedule within 12 months, but no refund will be issued.

• No-shows and incomplete training attendance are non-refundable.

4.3 Course Cancelation by True North Thought LLC

• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule training due to unforeseen circumstances.

• In such cases, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.


5. Training Materials and Intellectual Property

Participants receive:

• T4C Facilitator’s Manual (Version 4.0)

• Training slides and video vignettes

• All training materials are copyrighted by the authors of Thinking for a Change.

• Participants may not duplicate, distribute, or modify training materials for commercial use without explicit permission.


6. Code of Conduct

6.1 Participant Expectations

To maintain a professional learning environment, participants must:

• Engage respectfully with instructors and peers.

• Refrain from disruptive behavior during training sessions.

• Complete required coursework and actively participate.

6.2 Violation of Conduct

Participants who violate these expectations may be removed from the training without refund.


7. Certification & Training Limitations

• Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

• This training does not qualify individuals to train other facilitators.

• To become a T4C Trainer, additional certification from the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is required.


8. Liability Disclaimer

True North Thought LLC is not responsible for:

• Travel expenses (airfare, hotel, transportation, etc.).

• Personal belongings lost or stolen during training.

• The misuse of training materials by participants.

Participants acknowledge that facilitating Thinking for a Change requires ethical responsibility and adherence to evidence-based practices.


9. Privacy Policy

• Any personal information collected during registration is kept confidential.

• We do not sell, rent, or share participant data with third parties.
